Tech Festival TEKNOFEST Returns to Istanbul
As stated in a social media announcement by Türkiye’s Industry and Technology Ministry on Monday, the venue for this large-scale exhibition will be Ataturk Airport.
TEKNOFEST includes a range of contests, aerial demonstrations, and cutting-edge technology displays that consistently impress countless attendees.
The festival alternates its host locations: in even-numbered years, it rotates through various cities across Türkiye, while in odd-numbered years, it is traditionally held in the major urban center of Istanbul.
In the previous year, the event took place in Adana and attracted an estimated 1.1 million individuals.
To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Republic in 2023, TEKNOFEST was organized three times—in Istanbul, the national capital Ankara, and the coastal city of Izmir in the Aegean region.
Earlier this year, the event was staged in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) from May 1 to 4, drawing a crowd of 225,000.
The TRNC has become the second foreign location to host TEKNOFEST, following Azerbaijan’s hosting of the event in 2022.
Since it was first launched in 2018, the influential technology fair has welcomed close to 10.7 million attendees.
