eMudhra Confirms Kenya Customers are Completely Unaffected by Global TLS Certificate Incident
NAIROBI, KENYA, October 23, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- eMudhra Technologies Limited, a licensed and accredited Electronic Certification Service Provider (E-CSP) in Kenya, confirms that the recently reported Global TLS certificate incident is a “highly contained and isolated issue with no impact whatsoever on any customer in Kenya.”
Based on eMudhra’s investigation and assessment to date, “no customer outside North America has been impacted by this incident. Even within North America, the impact is restricted to a single customer.” Accordingly, “any statements suggesting that eMudhra’s customers, digital trust services, enterprise applications or operations in Kenya have been impacted are not true.”
All Kenya Services Remain Unaffected
All eMudhra services and solutions in Kenya continue to operate normally, including:
- Digital Signature Certificates and digital signing services;
- eSignature services;
- emSigner and all associated enterprise signing and workflow applications;
- CertiNext*, including certificate lifecycle management and enterprise PKI solutions;
- SecurePass identity and access management solutions;
- Private PKI and enterprise certificate deployments; and
- Other eMudhra enterprise applications and digital trust services.
There has been “no impact to eMudhra’s Kenya E-CSP operations, customer data, digital signatures, eSignatures or enterprise application infrastructure.”
A Contained Global TLS Issue
The incident relates to a limited component of eMudhra’s Global public TLS certificate business and is separate from eMudhra’s Kenya E-CSP infrastructure and broader enterprise technology platforms.
eMudhra is actively investigating the matter and will publish a detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA), together with the remediation measures being implemented to prevent recurrence.

Proactive Measures for TLS Customers
Although the incident has not impacted eMudhra’s other TLS customers, eMudhra is proactively working with “unaffected TLS certificate customers to establish additional Certificate Authority redundancy” where appropriate.
This is intended to provide customers with greater operational resilience and flexibility during any future certificate revocation or trust-store event. eMudhra remains fully committed to its customers in Kenya and to maintaining the security, availability and reliability of its digital trust services.
